The Review

In 2010 the Australian Government commissioned a Review of Funding for Schooling. Chaired by David Gonski, the review panel received more than 7000 submissions, visited 39 schools and consulted 71 key education groups across Australia.

The Review Panel presented its final report to the Government in late 2011, at which time the Australian Government began consulting with communities around the country about the report, and the future of school funding.

On 16 December 2010, the panel released a Review of Funding for Schooling: Emerging Issues Paper  that summarises the views presented by stakeholders during the initial listening tour.

On 31 August 2011, the panel released its Paper on Commissioned Research, to present four commissioned research papers.
